As per Agama Shastras, Maha Kumbhabhishekam is a Hindu temple ritual that is believed to homogenise, synergise, and unite the mystic powers of the deity. It is a part of the consecration ceremony of Hindu temples.
The Thiruchembur Murugan Temple situated in Chedda Nagar, Chembur, Mumbai was first consecrated in 1980 and further 3 Jeeranodharana, Ashtabandhana, Swarnabandhana Maha Kumbhabhishekam been performed in 1991, 2000 and 2011 respectively. It is now proposed to perform the 5th Maha Kumbhabhishekam of the temple.
According to our scriptures, performing Kumbhabhishekam and participating in the Jeeranodharana of a temple is equivalent to performing 100 Ashwamedha Yagas.
We cordially invite one and all to participate in all the sacred ceremonies and be recipients of the Lords blessings.
